Our Mission:

Autism Support Community (ASC) is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides advocacy information and support groups to families requiring Autism Services.  Research has shown that intervention through special education services increases the level of independence and opportunities available to individuals on the Autism spectrum.  ASC believes that every special needs student has the right to inclusive opportunities, a safe environment, and a program that provides meaningful benefit. Special education legal knowledge is necessary to make this happen and should be universally accessible regardless of socioeconomic status.

Our History:

Autism Support Community was founded in 2010 by concerned parents and professionals.  ASC is a proponent of the rights of people with developmental disabilities. Our vision is to make sure that every student has access to the services and interventions that they need to become independent adults. We started by volunteering to assist friends at IEP meetings. Since then we have grown to provide information by Council of Parent Attorney and Advocate (COPAA) Special Education Advocates Trained professionals.
